NEWS UPDATE October, 2025

Did you know that in August and September twenty-two families were assisted with furniture and other household goods?

Did you know on October 17, 2016, the founder of Stones Throw quit his job as Paramedic to go into full time ministry?

Did you know over 600 hours were logged by 17 STCM volunteers working alongside Craig Church Ministries at Faith Fest 2025? 1,500 of our famous “Jesus Loves You” bracelets were given out along with 2,500 “Key to Life” cross key chains. Here are a couple of testimonies from our Faith Fest volunteers:

Dennis Young - The stories folks would tell about how God has worked in their lives encourages me in my walk. The biggest blessing is to see the eyes of people who told about the number of years they had been clean and how God delivered them from addiction. There is a light, hope, and joy that can be seen at Faith Fest. Seeing how people worshiped shows there is no doubt that God radically changed their lives.

Marshall Humphries - I did not know what to expect. I had the words that are written on Mitch’s tailgate: “A stone for every Goliath” on my mind as I approached the children coming through the gate. Questioning the children about King David and the Giant was an awesome way to talk to the children about Jesus. It’s really powerful to hold strangers in your arms and pray for them. The biggest take away is that God can use an old, sick, broken down man for his good if we are willing!

Did you know the Jefferson House Build is now dried in? We have seen God use STCM and relationships from other projects to bring this build to this point.

Who would have thought that what started out as a trial with USDA and North Carolina Baptist on Missions to assist Senior Citizens in Surry County with food insufficiency has now been running monthly for almost 4 years.

Have you heard about God's provision and timing of the foundation installed on 7-8-25, the roof trusses on 9-17-25, and roof shingled on 10-4-25?

It should amaze you that all this work is done by volunteers. No one receives any compensation other than knowing they are doing what the Lord has called them to do.

You may have heard that the Sr. Food Box Program continues to grow. STCM now assists 3 other counties in different ways for the Sr. Food Box distribution of over 270 boxes.That is over 10,000 lbs of food monthly!

Did you know during a Revival service in May of 2010, God radically changed the founders' life. In the altar, Mitch said he knew there was a better way of life and that is through you Lord. Show me what you would have me do for you and with your help I will do my best to make it happen.

Out of all the things you have seen, our prayer is that “you know” the life changing power of Jesus Christ, Messiah, King of Kings, Lord of Lords, the Creator that was not created.
